Cofounder/Captain Phil R. Snodgrass
Phil was born in Miami Florida and grew up boating, fishing, and diving with his family and they enjoyed countless hours on the two boats they owned. Most of the fishing and diving were in the waters off Miami, but they also enjoyed trips to the Florida Keys and Bahama islands. When he was 17, he moved to Stuart, Florida and enjoyed living in waterfront condominiums in North River Shores. His family had their 31’ Bertram docked there which was very convenient for fishing and diving the local waters of Stuart, and they enjoyed competing in local fishing tournaments.
Phil served in the United States Air Force for 23 years as a Pilot and Intelligence Officer and is a Boeing 777 Captain for Atlas Airlines. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from University of Central Florida.
We have dreamed of owning our own boat and have now purchased our incredible 43’ Hatteras motor yacht. We also dreamed of being in business for ourselves and love providing a unique travel and entertainment experience to our friends and clients. We look forward to many unforgettable adventures in the years to come aboard our lovely yacht “Onward &Upward.”
Stuart does not just offer some of the best fishing in Florida but also has an expanse of incredible waterfront properties along the Indian River County Waterway, Manatee Pocket and Saint Lucie River which makes for some picturesque river cruises.
Cofounder/Chief Creative Curator- Amy Cimber-Snodgrass
Amy was born in New York City and moved to Berne, Switzerland where she lived with her family for 7 years. She has dual citizenship to Switzerland and speaks Swiss German, her father was born in Zürich, and they spent many summers on their boat on Lake Lucerne. She spent her” formative years” on the Jersey Shore in Mantoloking where she fell in love with being on yachts, the beach and living near the ocean; she says, “is there any other way to live?”
Amy has been an events planner for 27 years. She has executed events in Manhattan for 10 years with clients such as Beyoncé, Sesame Street and MTV and worked the Honda Classic and for JM Family in South Florida. She has extensive experience with weddings and is known for her creative elements of design. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Business from the University of Maryland, an Events Management Degree from the Arts Institute where she graduated on the Dean’s list, and a Master of Hospitality from the University of Massachusetts, Amhurst.
The creation of the company was formed out of the need to offer beautiful and unique weddings, moonlight, and sunset cruises on our Onward & Upward Yacht.
